We’re really excited to start our new blog series today! We love to learn each of our couples’ love story from how they met, when they fell in love, and how he popped the question! Since we’re always asking everyone else their stories, we thought it would be fun to share ours with you. 🙂 Each week we’ll be sharing pieces of our story from when we dated long-distance, our proposal, our engagement, our wedding day, to our first year of marriage. There will definitely be some fun throwback photos too! Today we’re sharing the story of how we met!

Bobby and I met while attending college at Appalachian State in the North Carolina mountains. You could say photography brought us together… while majoring in Technical Photography I was assigned a documentary video project that could be on any subject. I choose to create a video about a triathlete and asked Bobby (then just an acquaintance) to be my star. Bobby said yes (later he told me he said yes because he thought I was pretty cute 😉 ) and we spent the next two weeks together filming. We quickly developed crushes on each other, and as soon as the video was complete Bobby told me that he liked me and asked me to be his girlfriend. 🙂 He said he waited to tell me once I finished it so if I didn’t feel the same way we wouldn’t have to finish the video with any awkwardness between us which I thought was so cute! Literally he told me as soon as I uploaded the project! He came and hung out with me while I finished editing it in the computer lab on campus and once I finished it he walked me to my car and it was in that parking lot that my life changed forever. 🙂 If you’d like to see the video that began our relationship press play below!
